The first thing that Oprah wants is for you to fit into the angle of the show. You may be the top expert in your field, but if your ideas and your expertise are not angled for the show during that audition, you may not get picked for the show. It is very important to be able to understand what the Oprah producers are looking for before you even open your mouth.
One of the things that you can ask is tell me a little bit about the angle that you are looking for, so then you can gear your answers to what they want. Before you even open your mouth you would talk about that.
One of the big no-no's in any kind of conversation with an Oprah producer is you are never trying to pitch your product, your service, your book or your cause. What you are doing is you are proving to that producer that you are the right expert for the show they are looking to create. That you bring that talent and talkability, that you are mediagenic. You are also someone who is really engaging and who the audience is going to pay attention to.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. This Comment is to make Oprah producers aware of a film by the name of LBS that was chosen for the Albert Sloan Award at SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2004. The Film was chosen out of 5000 entries that year, along with Napolean Dynamite, Super Size Me, and a few others. With many offers that came out of the Festival The film makers choose to go with a distibutor that kept the film hostage and would not released it. I Marc Victor who is now the Executive Director of the film, saw the film in 2008 in my home in Calabasas CA, I was so impressed with the content, the movie itself and the message that I wanted the public to get a chance to see it. I helped the film makers by making them my partners(who are two Italian Boys by the name of Carmine Famiglietti, and Matthew Bonifacio) of which they both being from Brooklyn & Queens New York. We call the production Company the Brooklyn Queens Experiment(BQE Releasing). The film was held from release, and by me bringing Litigation against the previous distributor who kept it in this hostage state for 5 years. In 2009 after requiring the rights, we made both sound and coloration changes in post production. We are going to release it in March of 2010. With the films subject matter of Obesity and its comparison to drugs, and its addiction having such a profound effect our society this film is not only a must watch but needs to be seen by all(PLEASE HELP),it has been seen and reviewed and recommended highly by 50 critics from Variety to Rolling Stone to Harvard Medical School being an incrediable film with a great message.
